Practice Nurse
Helen works alongside the doctors in the practice to provide care for patients with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension. She also does cervical smears and many other nursing procedures.
Health Care Assistant (HCA)
Jo is available for blood and urine tests, ECGs, dressings and a number of other nursing tasks.

Patients are encoraged to have their blood pressure checked once every three years once they reach the age of forty, but there is no evidence that routine medicals annualy for everybody provides any health benefits.
